The Lost Crowd

22 Jan

So here i am facing the world,
wind whipping my hair on my face,
Suddenly it doesn’t seem so big,
just one slightly complicated maze…

Does anybody hear me?
are there dozens working the path together?
Do i really think on my own,
i can find a way that is actually better?

The only times I envy the crowd
is for the company they have around…
But I can’t bring myself to follow,
When I know they will all be lost tomorrow…

Afraid that when I broke away
Nobody would ever want to come along…
Doesn’t anybody else ever think
That the crowd might just be wrong?

–Yes, Yes—a thousand times yes! Mankind is not living in harmony with nature nor his own deep-seeded desires. Look at the animal kingdom, content with what the Earth provides alone. Why do we not see schizophrenic lions, bipolar dolphins, or a serial minded giraffe, killing it’s own just for sexual gratification? It sounds almost comical in a way doesn’t it? A good example of living in-harmoniously is this; when an elephant is removed from its natural environment and forced to play part in a circus—removed from its natural behavior—one day this wild animal will snap and stampede the crowd, crushing children and its own master under the weight of its feet. More than wanting to kill every man, woman, and child under the tent—the elephant wants more to be returned to normalcy and a balanced life. Eventually everyone will return back to Mother Earth for guidance.–
