Hope-stones

An empty hospital chapel
a silent piano made of fine wood,
A bronze cross with Jesus hanging,
and a simple altar and candle stood…

There, at the foot of the altar,
“hope” was written on a stone…
somehow it seemed fitting,
somehow I was no longer alone…

Here is the Alpha & the Omega,
the lover of my soul…
the nurse told me to have faith,
As i fought my tears for control…

hope rocks are for cheesy gift stores,
I always found them rather cliche,
but now as my foundation,
in my garden a “hope”-stone, i lay…
