MRS. SPARKLY’S TEN COMMANDMENTS AWARD

thank you to Naima with http://thesubterraneanworld.wordpress.com/ for nominating me for this award! ❤
—-(i’ll figure out how to get this picture later… lol. not the techiest…——
RULES:
The rules for this award are that you must answer the following ten questions and nominate ten blogs that you think deserve the award.

1. Describe yourself in seven words.
passionate, caring, wild/fun, witty, spiritual, natural, honest

2. What keeps you up at night?
I second guess every decision i make, & relive everything i did in the day. I can’t help but wish i said this differently, or had taken the extra effort to do that. However, i feel this helps me grow into a better person.

3. Whom would you like to be?
I hope I live a life as fulfilling & powerful as my grandmother has. To fall madly in love for life, to be a wonderful mother & wife, raise lots of kids, & have the joy of seeing those kids raise more kids… a more beautiful gift than being part of this circle just doesn’t exist to me…

4. What are you wearing now?
denim capri, a tie on purple shrug & blue tank top. (it actually works)

5. What scares you?
death… loosing those i love, & the realization, all we do here, passes away. I’m also really afraid that i’ll marry the wrong guy. I never want to divorce. divorce is the scariest thing in the world to me. i’ve seen the effects, & it’s awful. i’d rather just be single forever…

6. What are the best and worst things about blogging?

The best is: sharing in the joys of others. discovering these inspiring thoughts & new ways of looking at things. Getting to know other bloggers from the inside out…i love bloggers who share their own stories with a slightly humorous outlook!

The worst is:”Readingis addictive and hence you end up spending hours and hours reading…”…no joke!

7. What was the last website you looked at?
http://www.etsy.com/ (a vintage website)

8. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
I hate how i’m ALWAYS late.

9. Slankets, yes or no?
what’s that? another snuggie thing?

10. Tell us something about the person who nominated you.
Naima’s blog…wow, where do I start? A lot of her stuff is very thought-provoking. I leave her page still thinking. It’s not necessarily controversial, as much as motivating, & telling of life lessons. She seems very passionate, but about a lot of the right things. She’s clearly got a good head on her shoulders & i like reading her takes on things. I like her mostly optimistic views on life & living. the world could use more people like her in short. I would encourage anyone to visit http://thesubterraneanworld.wordpress.com/ if you get the chance, & check it out for yourself!

One Lovely Blog Award

One Lovely Blog Award

Thank you to Bluesander for nomintating me for this award. i am so honored. http://bluesander.wordpress.com/ . For those of you who have not checked out Bluesander’s blog, I really enjoy going on there & reading the thought-provoking material…

Rules to this award (they’re a little skewered, but what I think the rules are):
1. Thank the person who nominated you for the award.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself.
3. Nominate other bloggers.
———-
Now for 7 facts about me….

1. I have over 3000 unread, unopened emails. I simply don’t do emails. people will call, text, or fb if necessary.
2. I am a tea addict. most recently, i was introduced to Chai… i am officially hooked.
3. I find myself lost for hours in awe of beaches, stars, & lightning storms.
4. I hate talking on the phone. I love skype, i love text. but i hate the phone.
5. I think if you sit in a 3-yr-old daycare, you will find it funnier than any comedy show or comedian you will ever see who is paid to be funny.
6. I have learned the unequaled value of family. Respect the elders… gives you something to look forward to. Include the young, they are the future. and love them all. every family is crazy. But you are connected by blood. And I put it above everything but God in my life.
7. I have hazel eyes. Usually people think they are brown. I get so offended if someone thinks this. because in natural light, my eyes will dilate to gold, green, & blue. No brown, darnit. lol.
—–

now for my nominees! (omgosh, i realize i can’t nominate all those i want to, but i am catching up on awards still, so please know that there were plenty of worthy blogs i didn’t get the chance to nominate here. there are just so many lovely influences! lol, but i guess that’s a good thing! =)

http://francoisbergh.com/ if you go to this site, i guarantee you, you shall not be disappointed. some of the most beautiful & lovely poems i’ve ever read on or off the web & books included. Me trying to describe it does not do justice, so please go & read some of his amazing writings when you get the chance!

http://fivereflections.wordpress.com/ totally not what i expected when i went to this blog. it’s a collection of really neat Haiku! go check it out!

http://suzannagoretti.wordpress.com/ …a poet who truly does have “one love blog!” So inspirational. i love how she puts new spins on old stories or analogies. in a way putting the poetic world upside down & creating her own worded kingdom. oh & i love all the poems about dragons & ladies being saved!

http://jamesdez.wordpress.com/ also known as “have a dream” such an inspiring website. Probably the biggest database of poems & inspirational messages. I can seriously loose myself on Michael’s blog for a whole day. I highly recommend checking this one out!

http://glittertheair.wordpress.com/ I was lucky to stumble upon this site toward the beginning of my blogging. And am so glad i did. absolutely awesome and cute. a great variety, but always a pleasure.

http://ericalaganfanclub.wordpress.com/ also known as “written words never die” …Eric is one of the greatest bloggers & writers i can cite on here. If you want to see how to make a difference just observe all he writes & does. i aspire to have a blog as distinguished & life-changing as his.

http://daabsentee.wordpress.com/2012/04/03/a-couples-prayer/ (yes, i linked you to my favorite passage from him) I’m not exactly sure how to tell you what to expect from this guy. All i can say, is that there’s a large variety, & i’ve never been disappointed or felt like i wasted my time going to check out his blog. from romance to stories, he’s got it all. as with the others, go ahead & check it out!

Honorary mentions:
http://autumnsunshineandgabrielleangel.wordpress.com/ i simply can not get enough of this site. easily the cutest site on wordpress. created by a set of twins, they have some of the funniest little memories & sweet poems all combined for a dose of humor, fun, creativity, imagination, & inspiration. be sure to check it out. (they’ve already received this award)

http://allaboutlemon.com/ a really expansive site including everything from cooking, to stories, to poetry. definitely worth checking out.

My story… & how you bloggers changed it. =)

I have two best friends. One girl & one guy. The girl I”ve been best friends with going on 9 years… the guy for 4 years. Poor things, my girlfriend & i used to sit up in bed giggling over gossip & apple juice, then she’d be forced to hear some of my new poetry… her initials are MB.

The guy & I met in college. Freshman year. his initials are KF. it happened in that year, my family began to experience hard times. He was there for me on so many late nights. He did ask me out at the end of first semester. I turned him down on the basis that i didn’t want a relationship freshman year. He said he’d wait as long as it would take.
It was awkward for a time, but long story short, he got over it & dated two other girls over the next two years. But him & I became even better best friends. We skyped almost every night for hours. Even when he had a girlfriend, or I had a boyfriend. We would tell each other stories about our relationships.
(Btw, i transferred out after freshman year, then left college halfway through sophomore year due to finance issues. I started working my own way through life)
One month i had been sick for 3 weeks & couldn’t work, & thus, couldn’t pay all my rent, he sent me $180… just like that. didn’t even ask me to pay it back. When i was having problems with going out & drinking, he’d stay up with me on skype until i went to bed, so that i wouldn’t be lonely & tempted to go out… He was there for me even more than MB in many ways, as she was busy falling in love with this other guy herself.

WORDPRESS CREATED- KF encouraged me to start a blog site for my poetry. So that i could network & basically have something to do good with my time. So i did. I didn’t use it a lot at first… but over time, it’s come to mean so much to me

Years went by…

He & that girl broke up in 2010 December. He hasn’t had another gf since. I had a bf in the summer. when i broke up with that guy, it was still tough, just ego wise. Because he got a new gf like right away. I felt rather stupid. KF was there every week to build me up. Sending me texts, telling me any guy would love to have me.

More months went by, i began to finally admit to myself what i hadn’t even blogged about online before that. (i’m pretty honest on my site… much easier for me, as it is anonymous). I had fallen for him.

As I began to write poem after poem about faling in love with him. Many bloggers said was fitting or cute. but especially Gabby’s comment (http://autumnsunshineandgabrielleangel.wordpress.com/) , stuck with me… it was such a fitting ending.

Of course, now i was freaking out like crazy. How could i risk loosing my best friend? i mean, if he didn’t like me, how much would that suck & mess with our friendship? & wouldn’t i know if he liked me?

Suzanne Goretti & a few others encouraged me to tell him

So, i finally booked a flight to go up there about 2 weeks ago…

It was the love story of love stories, lol. So freaking perfect. He said he’s been in love with me all along. & i realized i will never love another guy like him.

I may sound totally too fast in saying i want to marry him someday, but i’ve never said that before. i mean it.

I almost gave up on him. I almost didn’t bother going out there. I almost just dated this guy here who likes me. But thanks to my fellow blogger’s encouragement (plus a nudge from my other best friend, MB & sister), i now have found & am with the love of my life. lol.

maybe i’m totally ahead of myself. But for once, i get it. i get what they say when they say ‘better to have loved & lost, then to have never loved at all.” every moment i have just knowing we both love each other, is worth the rest of my life without him.

Thank you all so much for the inspiration & encouragement. I guess God works in mysterious ways, as does love & fate…. I hope you all know i’m not being trite about this, or just trying to broadcast my site. I feel i am so indebted to every single comment that gave me the courage to go out & tell him how i felt. And i wanted to just let you all know i so appreciate everything. & i’ll try to be more involved in yalls sights & maybe, just maybe make even one little comment that may help someone else change their lives.

God Bless, unwritten truth.

Dear fellow bloggers… let’s shape our worlds together…

It’s funny how little & much this site can play a role in our lives. We can ignore it, & nothing bad happens. Or we can invest & become inspired. What’s really neat about wordpress, is how we are all active writers & readers. So, we have the opportunity to influence each other. Many of the future ‘best selling’ authors, editors, & even obsure writers are on here. we all have the chance to shape the future of literature on here. both with feedback & writing. . .

but there’s even more than that… we can change & inspire each other in ways that will change our lives, & thus the lives around us. Let’s try to build each other up. Even critiques can be helpful. We can bounce ideas & theories & encouragement. Look, everyone needs a little motivation & inspiration.

In the following blog, i will tell my story of how some other bloggers on here have changed my life with their feedback. And they don’t even know my real name. I’m an anonymous blogger. Amazing, the soul doesn’t need to be steriotyped or labelled. We can get right to the heart of matters on here.

I am so glad I took the step to set up my wordpress. I love reading every one of yours, & I sincerely hope that I can find time to continue to do so. It’s so powerful when you realize that people all over the world are reading YOUR poems, stories, and blogs.

In particular, i want to single out a few of the most amazing commenters i’ve had. who have inspired me:

1 Autumn & Gabby Angel: http://autumnsunshineandgabrielleangel.wordpress.com/
2 Jaded Heart- http://jadedstone11.wordpress.com/
3 Tale of my Heart- http://justsimplyinlove.wordpress.com/
4. Eric Alagan (so inspirational) http://ericalaganfanclub.wordpress.com/
5. http://daabsentee.wordpress.com/
6. http://maggiemaeijustsaythis.wordpress.com/
7. Michael- http://jamesdez.wordpress.com/
8. http://suzannagoretti.wordpress.com/

in the following blog, you will read how you literally have changed my life. PS. there have been many more inspirations, but these are the most prominent throughout time… i also had one called uncletree or something & anselmiking… both of them are awesome too. there were so many more. but the above have been above & beyond.

best dream i ever have… still haven’t woken up…

Was it just the best dream i ever had?
amid the rain & sunshine’s reach…
Did you really tell me you loved me,
as the sun was setting on the beach?

Did you really hold me in your arms?
& did you truly mean all that you said?
as my plane landed back into Denver,
i felt like i was just waking up, instead…

The best dream i ever had….
back at both of our starts…
did i truly find the key last week,
to lock eternity within our hearts?

The back of your motorcycle was cold,
but well worth the excuse to hold onto you…
It was more than the fairytale i’ve dreamed of…
if it really happened, if it’s really true?

i’ve never questioned actuality so much…
God, please keep him & me a reality…
i know he has free will to love whomever….
but please Lord, help him stay in love with me

hearing more than reaches the eye… thank you

Have you ever felt bestowed an honor
that you were entirely unworthy to receive?
especially when it comes from someone,
who has nothing more than your words to read?

have you ever felt so moved,
that you wish you could fly the world round,
just to say two words in person,
when “thank you” are the only words to be found…

Do you ever feel stunted by reality?
like if nobody knew who you were,
if nobody knew your history,
that you would be ruling over the Earth?

Or do you feel that we each get
exactly what we deserve?
I am in awe how many webs
we spin in our own worlds…

how many of those strings break,
is discouraging to say the least,
but when you find one little heart string,
has flown to the other side of east…

well, let’s just say, i’m just fine
hanging from that one little line..
And while i have the chance,
i want to take the time,

…To thank you for hearing more
than the words that meet the eye

Liebster blog award:

http://aslankanshaw.wordpress.com/ … Aslan, thank you so much for honoring me with this award… I’m so flattered & happy! thank you again. What a treat coming from such a talented writer/poet as yourself!

The Liebster Blog Award is given to up-and-coming bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. The rules for the award are:

1. Copy and paste the award on your blog.

2. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter and link back to them.

3. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog

I would like to nominate the following:

  1. http://diciembrenieve.wordpress.com/ … so vulnerably true. i love how she just throws her heart onto her page… i aspire to be this honest. i feel like maybe i put on too much of a precept of strength? i wish i could just tell it how it is. i wonder if i do that as well as she does? i know i don’t.
  2. http://joe2poetry.wordpress.com/ Good poetry & thoughts… i’m just beginning to look around here more, & i have enjoyed it all so far.
  3. http://fabulasscat1.wordpress.com/
  4. http://sarsapillamelissa.wordpress.com/ … i usually find many ‘advice’ blogs, to have an air of superiority, but i really like this one. just short, sweet, true little tidbits of advice.
  5. http://frommyheart2urs.wordpress.com/

…i wish i could nominate more, so many good up & comers. i’m so tempted to keep going. but i’ll stop there, & save some other great blogs for future nominations. congratulations!

Kreativ Blogger Award

What a wonderful Christmas gift!

Michael, thank you so much for nominating me for the “Kreativ Blogger Award.”! Your site <http://jamesdez.wordpress.com/> is truly inspirational, & i am so very honored that you deemed my poetry worthy. thank you!

First off, I feel a little silly getting this. I really don’t feel my stuff is of the caliber of so many sites I visit. I do love visiting all your amazing blogs. I gain so much inspiration from them. I know I’ve hit on this before, but this blog probably means too much to me, but because of this, all your comments are so appreciated & taken to heart. Thank you each for taking the time to visit my site. You truly do motivate me to continue writing in a way I have never been encouraged before. Knowing someone is there to read them… it changes everything. And thank you for all your creative posts as well. Without them, i don’t think I could write as much. So many of my poems are spawned off thoughts I took back from reading one of yours.

For this award, I am required to share 10 things you may not know. Then, I will have to pass this award on to at least 6 ( or more ) other bloggers.

1. I am solar-powerd. Sunshine is like oxygen for me..
2. I am a huge football fan. I know more most guys I run into about this.
3. I am from a big family, very sports centered. Making poetry… not something any of them wanted to hear…
4. I love playing soccer. I can even play soccer by myself if need be… something about me, the ball, & the goal, it’s just all there is at that moment, & the world is right again…
5. I’m afraid of commitment- to the extent of choosing a month-to-month phone plan so i didn’t have to sign a contract.
6. I’ve lived in multiple cities, states, countries… & more homes than i am years old.
7. Probably because of my lack of life, I have come to play the role of ‘therapist’ for many of my friends. Funny how they all call me up for love advice & such when i have failed so miserably at my own. But i love that they come to me, just the same.
8. Give me a bottled cream soda & a campfire, & you won’t see anything but smiles & contentment from me.
9. I honestly do not feel I’ve earned any poetic talent I possess. I consider myself lucky. The words just come & I type most of my poems without taking my pen off the paper/fingers off the keypad. I feel more like a conduit, from who? eh, idk… but I feel very blessed just the same to have something going for me.
10. I believe blood ties are stronger than any other. Family. Whether we like it or not, family holds a power on each other, from our roots to our future, I prioritize my family above all else in my life.

As for the bloggers I have to nominate for the “Kreativ Blogger Award,” this is going to be hard… I truly enjoy all the bloggers I read, & am constantly in awe of so many I haven’t even had the chance to finish going through. I will work on giving credit where it is due in time, & honoring all those blogs I feel worthy. However, for the sake of time, I’m only listing 10 that come to mind, & I really want to emphasize these are worth your time: …………………………..

1. http://lesleycarter.wordpress.com/ *TRAVELERS HEAVEN!*
2. http://francoisbergh.com/
3. http://mandogtruck.wordpress.com/
4. http://thepoeticgoblin.wordpress.com/
5. http://nadiesbrain.wordpress.com/
6. http://morganjauncey.com/
7. http://gettingplayed.wordpress.com/
8. http://talinorfali.wordpress.com/
9. http://suzannagoretti.wordpress.com 10.http://warriorpoetwisdom.com/

Have a great day. !!! & congratulations to all

ps. Autumnsunshineandgabrielleangel & The Tale Of My Heart. were already nominated at the same time as me, or i would have nominated them as well. also, please look back to past nominations i’ve made & other sight recommendations. some people i feel are totally worth of this too, but since i’ve nominated them in the past, i’m trying to spread around that love to other folks who deserve it too!
